Guide to Copyright and Fair Use at Wagner College

Interlibrary Loans

The interlibrary loan service operates in accordance with the voluntary guidelines formulated by the National Commission on New Technological Uses of Copyrighted Works (CONTU). The library may request five journal articles per title published in the last five years free of copyright considerations. There are no restrictions for articles over five years old. The copies become the property of the requestor and use is limited to private study, scholarship or research.

No more than six individual chapters/portions in total may be copied from a single monograph during the entire term of copyright of the work.

Interlibrary loan materials may not be placed on class reserve.
